"A restaurant, arcade, and bar experience built around classic games that defined generations." That is how the owners of Deep 6 Arcade describe the place, according to Stratford Patch's report on its opening in the first week of September 2026. The arcade's address is 2505 Main Street, and that address is where this season's map starts.
Look at Stratford's fall 2026 calendar and almost every item sits on Main Street. The newest openings are in Stratford Center, near the train station. In mid-October the big town event moves north to 5800 Main Street at Boothe Memorial Park. In November the calendar returns south to Town Hall at 2725 Main Street for the parade and then the holiday market. If you live anywhere in town, you can plan the next eight weeks by address number.
Deep 6 Arcade is inside Station House Square, across from the Stratford Train Station. Patch reported that the site had earlier been considered for an IHOP. A March 2026 report in The Connecticut Scoop said the arcade took over the unit that used to be the Olde Dog Tavern. Patch says the business was founded by "people who love restoring classic arcade machines."
The arcade has company in the plaza. The town's restaurant directory, marked effective September 2026, lists TD Vietnam Palace, Tiffany's Place and Baltyk Deli at the same 2505 Main Street address. That means one parking lot across from the platform now covers Vietnamese food, a Polish deli and an arcade with a bar. That is a wide range for a single stop on a Saturday night.
A few doors down, the address numbers drop into the 2300s and 2400s, and the town's restaurant roster gets dense:
| Address | Place | What the record shows |
|---|---|---|
| 2377 Main Street | Heffer | Ribbon cutting July 23, 2025; hand-ground burgers and fried chicken |
| 2415 Main Street | Cibus Latin Fusion | Took part in Stratford Restaurant Week, Sept. 20–26, 2026 |
| 2419 Main Street | Acapulco's | Took part in Stratford Restaurant Week, Sept. 20–26, 2026 |
| 2505 Main Street | Deep 6 Arcade, TD Vietnam Palace, Tiffany's Place, Baltyk Deli | Station House Square; Deep 6 opened September 2026 |
Heffer is now past its first anniversary. Doing It Local covered its grand opening ribbon cutting on July 23, 2025, and described a locally focused menu built on hand-ground burgers and fried chicken. It is still on the town's September 2026 restaurant directory. Between Heffer and Station House Square there are about 130 address numbers, and that short span now holds six places to eat or play.
Head north past Town Hall and the addresses climb into the 3500s around Paradise Green. Two places there showed up on this year's town lists: The Tasty Yolk at 3530 Main Street and Open Door Tea at 3552 Main Street. Both took part in the town's 2026 Restaurant Week. Restaurant Week ran September 20 through 26 and is over, but the town's page still has the full list of participants. Both places are also on the September 2026 directory.
The Center stretch is the newer story this year. Paradise Green is the steady one, with a breakfast spot and a tea shop about 20 address numbers apart.
The Town's fall headliner is the Great Pumpkin Festival. It runs Saturday, October 17, from noon to 4 p.m. at Boothe Memorial Park, with Sunday, October 18 as the rain date. That is 13 days from today. The Town lists a costume parade, a pumpkin carving contest, food, a DJ, an inflatable maze, hayrides, open historic buildings, a magic show, face painting and characters. This year the festival also includes Public Safety Day, with safety demonstrations, Touch-A-Truck and giveaways.
The carving contest has rules worth reading before you sign up:
One detail on the Town's page doesn't match. The festival is listed for October 17, but the day-of instructions tell contestants to arrive by 9 a.m. on October 18. If you plan to carve, ask for the check-in date when you email to register.
The setting is the main draw. The Town describes Boothe Memorial Park & Museum as a 32-acre site in the north end of Stratford, high above the Housatonic River. It was the Boothe family estate for generations and was willed to the town in 1949. The park is on the National Register of Historic Places, and it is open and free all year. The grounds include:
There is also a small Main Street detail in the park's history. According to the Town, the Boothe family home was built in the 1820s facing what was then called "Main Street Putney." The road that runs the town's fall calendar has been the park's front door for two centuries.
If you want to tour the historic buildings outside festival day, call ahead. The Town page lists the tour season as May through October. The Friends of Boothe Park visitor page, last updated in 2024, gives guided Homestead tours Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon and Sundays from 1 to 3:30 p.m., but says they run Memorial Day to Labor Day. The Friends' online events calendar was showing no upcoming events when checked, even though the Town lists the festival.
North of Boothe, the road reaches Oronoque Shopping Plaza at 7365 Main Street. Marianna's Pantry is now there. In March 2026, Patch reported that the family-run restaurant was moving from Trumbull to that plaza. It appeared on the Town's 2026 Restaurant Week roster at 7365 Main Street with a 15 percent discount on any order. At 7365, it is the highest address on this list, about 5,000 numbers north of Heffer.
After Boothe Park, the Town's remaining big events move back south to Town Hall:
The parade ends at a landmark. The Stratford Historical Society's campus is at 967 Academy Hill. It includes the Captain David Judson House, built in 1723, along with the Catharine B. Mitchell Museum and the Beach Family Carriage House. The Society has run the Judson House since it was founded in 1925. Its website did not list October or November 2026 programs when checked and sends visitors to its Facebook page for upcoming events.
On the street numbers, the Town Hall Green at 2725 Main is just over 200 numbers from Station House Square at 2505 and under 350 from Heffer at 2377. That keeps the holiday market and the Center's newest restaurants on the same short run of Main Street.
Mapping the season along Main Street also shows how addresses compare from the Center to Paradise Green to the north end, and a home's location along this road shapes what a weekend looks like there. If you are thinking about where in Stratford fits the way you want to live, or what your current home's spot on this map means for its value, Joe Paul is glad to talk it through with you.
